About

Hey, thanks for stopping in! My name is Trevor Wittwer.  To start things off I am a basketball, exercise, and health junkie.  A day doesn’t go by where I am not reading or learning about one of the three.  My formal education comes from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota with a bachelors of arts degree specializing  in health and exercise science.  I am also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the well-respected National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

My real education has been the 15+ years  of sweat I have left on the court as I started playing traveling basketball in fourth grade.  I have been coaching basketball consistently for the last five years whether it be in the team setting, running my own camps, coaching in others’ camps,  and through individual instruction of all ages.

Currently, I play professional basketball overseas in Europe. I have been around the game for almost 20 years.  I have a passion for the game itself but also an infatuation for everything that goes into being a great player which includes  nutrition, weights, conditioning, and the mental aspect to name a few.  I see the basketball player as the pinnacle of athletic prowess because no other sport encompasses so many attributes of athleticism:  quickness, agility, power, strength, grace, touch etc…  This can make training difficult and confusing.

My desire is to share my knowledge and observations about the game and bring in experts who can help take your game as far as you are willing to work for it.  I will give insight into what works and what doesn’t.  What is worth doing and what are you wasting your time on.  Your time is valuable and you only have so much energy to spend on basketball.  I will help give you the knowledge but you need to bring the action.

I want this blog to be user driven so take action and post what you want information on.  I am here for you.
